Family Owned and Operated

Located in North Lexington, Kentucky, Clarkland farm is more than just a boarding and breeding operation—it’s a family legacy. Taking care of this land and the horses has been passed down through seven generations: James Clark, William Clark, James Sandford Clark, Nannie Clark Wood, John Wesley Marr, Nancy and Fred Mitchell, & Marty Buckner. A heritage that intertwines with the breed-shaping of American horse racing, Clarkland farm was home to Leslie's Lady and her legendary foals.

Through daily hard work and dedication, Clarkland farm is one of the longest standing and champion producing farms in the bluegrass.

Our entire crop is offered annually at the Keeneland and Fasig Tipton sales.
